Bajaj Chetak TVS iQube Among Top 10 Bestselling Scooters in India

India’s scooter market is witnessing a surge in demand for electric vehicles. From April to December 2024, the TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak secured the sixth and seventh positions, respectively. The TVS iQube sold 1,97,534 units, marking a 37% growth compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, Bajaj Chetak recorded sales of 1,88,765 units, reflecting a 48% increase.
Together, these two electric scooters accounted for 3,86,299 units sold, contributing 2.56% to total scooter sales and 8.30% among the top 10 models. However, the Honda Activa remains the best-selling scooter, with 1.99 million units sold, capturing 13% of total sales. The TVS Jupiter secured the second position with 7,90,028 units, reflecting 26% growth, though it still trails the Activa by 1.20 million units.
These figures highlight the growing acceptance of electric scooters in India. The strong sales performance of Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube indicates a significant shift towards electric mobility, solidifying their position among the country’s best-selling scooters. (Source)
