Uncapped players Curtis Jones and Tino Livramento have been called up to the senior England squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures this week.
Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, 23, was previously included in Gareth Southgate’s provisional squad for Euro 2024 in May but missed out on the final selection. Jones was a key player in England’s Under-21 team, which won the 2023 European Championship under interim boss Lee Carsley, who is now leading the senior side.
Newcastle full-back Tino Livramento, who also featured in Carsley’s squad last month for matches against the Republic of Ireland and Finland, didn’t get playing time then but has been given another chance this week.
Meanwhile, captain Harry Kane trained separately from the main group at St. George’s Park due to fitness concerns but is expected to play. Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish was also absent from training as a precaution due to a minor knock.
England will face Greece at Wembley on Thursday before traveling to Helsinki to play Finland on Sunday.
