Kin Saito, the director of women’s football at Cruzeiro, is stepping down from her role due to personal reasons. Saito joined the club in 2022, under Ronaldo Fenômeno’s management, and played a crucial role in strengthening the women’s football team. During her time, Cruzeiro reached the final stage of the Campeonato Brasileiro, competed in the Supercopa, and won the 2023 Campeonato Mineiro.
Her position will be filled by Bárbara Fonseca, also known as Babi, who has been with the club prior to Saito’s arrival. The news was first reported by journalist Samuel Venâncio and confirmed by O Tempo Sports.
Saito, a journalism graduate from PUC-Rio, began her career in 2015. Before joining Cruzeiro, she held roles at the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), R9 Group, Octagon Brazil, and RiosCom.
