Ferrari has officially debuted its stunning new flagship supercar, the 849 Testarossa, in India today, marking a significant milestone for the brand in the growing luxury market. This plug-in hybrid hypercar revives the legendary Testarossa nameplate from the 1980s, blending iconic design cues with cutting-edge performance technology. It directly replaces the SF90 Stradale as Ferrari’s top series-production model and positions itself as a fierce rival to the Lamborghini Revuelto.

At the heart of the 849 Testarossa lies a potent 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired with three electric motors, delivering a combined output of 1,050 hp (with the V8 alone producing around 830 hp) and massive torque. This setup enables blistering acceleration, with a claimed 0-100 km/h sprint in under 2.3 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h. The small battery provides limited electric-only range for short urban drives, while the advanced hybrid system ensures thrilling dynamics and improved efficiency compared to pure combustion rivals.

Design-wise, the 849 Testarossa pays homage to its heritage with signature elements like L-shaped LED headlights connected by a black strip, a contrasting roof, and aggressive side strakes, while incorporating modern active aerodynamics that generate substantial downforce. The bold, muscular proportions and twin-tail exhaust setup give it an unmistakable presence on the road, making it one of the most visually striking Ferraris in recent years.

Inside, the cabin is driver-focused and luxurious, featuring a large 16-inch digital driver display integrated with infotainment, a dedicated passenger screen, physical controls on the steering wheel, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and extensive personalization options. The emphasis on analog feel combined with high-tech interfaces creates an engaging and premium driving environment.

Priced at ₹10.37 crore (ex-showroom, before options), with on-road costs estimated around ₹11.98 crore in major cities, deliveries in India are expected to begin in the second half of 2026. This launch underscores Ferrari’s growing commitment to the Indian market, offering supercar enthusiasts a perfect fusion of timeless legacy and future-forward performance.
